Have you ever thought about mixing two complete different cultures belonging to two opposite parts of the world? Well, while being in the city center of Madrid, you can be in Japan and Mexico at the same time. Peyote San mixes typical food coming from Mexico, such as nachos, along with typical Japanese food such as sushi.
As for the location, in line with its value proposition, it mixes minimal Japanese style along with strong colorful walls referring to the Mexican culture (as you can see in the pictures).
The blend of these two designs makes the restaurant unique and cozy.
In terms of food, I tried both Mexican plates, such as nachos (but you can’t see them in the pics) and Japanese ones, namely Osaka-style octopus fritters, nigiris and uramaki.
The quality is really good, I ate quite a lot and I didn’t have any issues with the digestion; my favorite plates were octopus fritters and butterfish nigiris with truffle.
Finally, the service was really good; waiters are friendly and really want you to enjoy your time there.
It was actually the birthday of a friend, just before asking the dessert we told a waiter to prepare something and they came with their “Happy Birthday” cake!
